Day 2 in Wuhan!! = )

Finali i get to blog again.. This time round.. my laptop is spoil! How unfortunate.
.=( I saved all my photos, documents all that inside my precious laptop... And guess wad?! My laptop jus went bonkers.. Even have to borrow a laptop from my fren.. HAix..
Which means temporary, there wont be any pic for Day 2.. But will try to upload the pictures as soon as possible...

So for day 2..

We as we turned in late the night before, hence we woke up kinda late.. First night in wuhan isnt tat bad for me.. For i reali enjoy it.. I am someone whp loves cold environment.. Hence, i slept throughout the night, while most of my fren had to wake up several times... But in the morning, the temperature actually drops to one degree! Its lik super cold la.. My toes are lik freezing, and my face is numb..

At around eleven a.m, we were off for breakfast!! The canteen was specially different as compared to ours(in singapore). First of all, it was super cheap.. Everything is around 2 to 3 rmb, whereas in singapore, everything is around 2 to 3 singapore dollars!! Then.. they have this mixed vegetable store. Unlike singapore, they sell dishes by dishes. And we (Me, Jonathan,Jerald,Yi Sheng, Xin Hui, Felicia,Mei Yi) ordered about 10 dishes, and 4 bowl of soup(free of charge) and 8 bowls of rice(around 0.4 rmb per bowl of rice). So after adding up, we realised that it was super cheap when we split the cost among ourselves! Great deal for us=)

After which, we went to visit the school compound.. First is the lecture hall, which is quite alright(around ngee ann standard), secondly is the classroom in which we will be having our lessons.. Then we are off to buy our necessities!!

We took quite a great deal of pictures with this few hours.. Its a pity i couldnt upload it onto the blog.. BUt dun worry, i will try to get from my frens and post it onto the blog for euu to see= ) hahaz..

Yup.. So we went to buy necessities. First priority is our international prepaid card. We reali misses our parents, and we want them to Know that we have safetly arrived Wust already.. So we rushed to get our cards. As we know, in singapore, we jus have to show then our ic, register the new number that we wan.. Jus few minutes will do.. But in Wuhan.. It is totally different! I dunno is it because their systems doesnt works the way singapore do.. But it seems more likely that those employees are not familiarize with the service.. Once they see 32 of us trying to apply for the service.. They seems to get rather frantic.. So in the end, they took a total of 5 hours to fully registered all the prepaid cards. One thing about china is that they have this comments book which they cannot replace.. It seems to be a good idea, as any negative comments will aloow them to improve on it, and positive comments in which they can keep it up.. As i flipped through from the first page( dated 18th March' 09), their first comment is their attitude is terrible! OK.. and the several few pages are complains as well.. It seems that these workers never changed their attitude at all.. All they wan is an easy job, get a steady pay thats all! They dun even bother to retain their respect for the customers.. I guess the phrase( customers are always rightz) aint applicable in China.. Wad to do?

Next, we went to buy our necessities.. I myself bought 2 pillow, one as pillow, while the other one i used it as bolster, as they do not sell bolster.. Then i bought this thermal flask.. Its kinda cheap, so i bought one of it.. When i reached the hostel, i eagerly poured the hot water inside the thermal flask, hoping to keep the water warm... but instead, the thermal flask expanded due to hit, and hence i couldnt screw in my cap of the thermal flask! How disappointing it can be....

After that, we went to have dinner at a nearby ramen stall.. The noodles that they served is very very cheap! One bowl of beef ramen is about 4 rmb.. Ehich is lik 90 cents (sing dollars?!) whoa! Even cheaper as comapred to those maggie mee i bought in the supermarket! It was very nice! Took a lot of pics over here.. (Sobx.. No pics for now=()

After which, we are supposed to have this movie marathon.. How ever, due to the maintence of the Speaker, we couldnt watch the movie.. So we did ths self inroduction.. We had to introuduce our name, and wad school we are from.. Oh, while we were introducing, we kind of sabotage ppl to singapore.. The first one is Yisheng=) Though he was rather shy, but after much persuasion, he finali sang.. Well he sang A song by FIsh Leong, which was pretty good.. Nice one YIsheng! Good job=) u managed to save 1A05 face=) hahaz...Mei Yu oso Not bad wor=) ahhaz...

So after a long long day.. We finali got back to our bunk.. As we are reali very exhausted, we rushed back to the bunk and relaxed ourselve!

Overall, day 2 was a happy experience for me.. Learned more about the way china people interact with their customers, how frenly those attachies are= ) Tks Rocco, Tks Journey! Hehe..

K, gtg.. have to return my fren's lapie.. Haiz.. Hope my laptop is alright man! pLease!!

Day 1 in Wuhan!!

Hello peeps!=) Hahaz... I am officially in Wuhan for 2 days already.. Originally wanted to blog last night.. But dunno why.. Jus couldnt managed to tap into the internet! >< But is ok.. Had my beauty sleep instead.. So today nice Jerald helped me to get my internet fixed! Yea=) tks to Jerald! Hahaz..

So now.. I shall blog about my first day in Wuhan!! Hehe...

Practically.. I am jus too excited to slp on that night.. I was lik excited, yet sad.. Happy because of going to Wuhan! Sad because i would miss my home sweet home, my family.. Arrgg.. Nvm..

REached airport at 5.30am.. Tot i would be jus in time to catch the flight.. ONli to end up waiting for another one and a half hour!! Mr Chongggggg!! Hahax..

Was rather quiet actuali.. Cuz i reali miss my parents.. Hahaz.. reali din expect tat.. At around 7 am.. We finali moved.. Got our language into the plane.. And my luggauge weighs around 24.7kg! hahz..

So before we get into the gate.. We took several photos..!!








Finali we board the plane.. Actuali when boarding the plane.. i kinda had a shock.. Because the plane was simply small! 3 rows of seats on the left and 2 row of seats on the right.. Thats all.. Is kinda like a bus.. But nevertheless.. We are still excited..
















The meal on the plane was alright... But it seems that tiredness got over me.. Hence i kinda fell asleep after my meal..
Eventually.. We reached guang zhou!!! Yea.. And we had our second meal there.. The airport was totally different as compared to singapore one.. Their airport is vast, spacious.. We have to walk quite a distance from one place to another.. Oh another interesting abt guang zhou airport is tat their lift.. They do Not have basement 1(B1)button instead they have (-1)button Hahaz..

So after walking around.. We found several cool stuff.. First of all is their super duper big 7 eleven!! The size of their 7 eleven could be compared to our ntuc!! Can u believe it?? I guess China is jus too big.. As compare to singapore, its lik we would make use of each and every spaces.. For instance, IN jurong point 2 , the new jurong point.. Their Jigsaw world shop is onli one small lane, right beside the walking path.. Its lik their shop onli have space to place several jigsaw tats all.. I wonder wads their rent..
After walking around.. We decided to get mac for our lunch!! While walking there.. We encounter this rather hot temper guy.. Keep wanting to explain that he wants to go to toll gate... Instead.. he was actuali trying to tell us that he wans to kknow which bus he can take to the first toll gate from the airport to the city.. By the time we get to know this, those china guys(rather pissed) jus say that every bus goes to the toll gate! hmmx.. China...

Next is the mac.. Their mac spicy is rather cheap as compare to singapore.. FIllet o fish was about the same price.. But the fillet is much bigger as compare to singapore.. It seems that singapore fillet-o-fish has turned into fillet-0-nugget.. The fries, was rather salty.. Its as if their salts are free of charge..

After the meal.. we managed to board onto the second plane.. This time round.. the flight is not as stable as the first one.. Its seems that the flight is even more bumpy then my train ride in malaysia! Most frightening is tat the wing of the plane seems more flimsy then the first plane.. Its lik flapping lik a piece of A4 paper.. At first wasnt reali frightened.. TIll Jeremy told me, The next moment we open the shutter of the window, the wing would be broken.. Frightening sia.. Drank a cup of plain water, and guess wad, the unstable plane, cuz me to overspill half a cup of water onto my shirt.. Thats how bumpy this flight is.. I was reali wondering if we would ever touched down alive..

Finali, we reached wuhan!! Yea... Took several photos with xin hui camera.. Guess i would get from her tmr.. So Tmr then i post the photos k? Hehe.. We were welcomed by a grp of ppl from Wuhan university.. On the bus.. Mei Yi and felicia and me was tinking ofdozing off, since the ride is pretty long.. And guess wad?! Those Wuhan ppl was so entertaining that we din slp a wink! Reali learnt much from them.. They got this slang which is quite famous in their university too!! Hahaz.. 这..这.. Hahaz..

While approaching the university.. We encounter this traffic jam.. Our driver keep going down to the road to settle the jamming problem.. Luckily.. If Not i guess the jam would be never ending.. What actuali amazed me most is that there is this car, whoactuali droved to the pavement in order top avoid the jam! Whoa.. Power..

Finali we reached wust!! Their hostel was quite alright.. Way better then my expectation.. Oh ya.. i forgot to mention the weather!! It was super duper cold!! And i was lik shivering!!

After which, we had our dinner at a nearby restaurant.. Played this ice breaking game- Remembering of our names.. Those who fail have to clear the left over dishes.. And our 2 leaders are lik so frightening!They quickly asked for our names once again Hahz... But in the end, they pass our test=)

Had our first night in Wuhan... It was freezing! And my feet was lik numb when i woke up the following.. Reali wonder if my 5 meet balls will fall off any moment..

One thing i love about wuhan is tat the weather is very cooling.. I love it, when the cool breeze swept across my face.. BUt one thing is tat ur cheek will get frosted the next moment! Hahaz..

OK... guess i gotta turn in.. Shall explore more about wuhan tmr!! Hahaz..

Overall, first day of wuhan is quite a happy experience.. Kinda loves the cold weather too!! Hahaz...
